Are you looking for a position with a flexible schedule and competitive hourly wages? Waterford Public Schools is currently hiring Substitute School Nurses for the 2024-2025 school year. The primary function of the Substitute School Nurse is to provide primary health and emergency care to students, promote wellness and serve as a resource for health concerns when the School Nurse is absent.

Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. The District’s facilities include three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The Waterford Board of Education is a nine-member elected body.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A valid State of Connecticut RN license to practice professional nursing

2. BSN preferred, but not required

3. Current CPR certification

4. Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics and/or community health.

Wage is $250 per day.
